Fleas jump and hook onto fur, clothing, or pets when you go out for walks.
Fleas feed on human, pet, or wild animal blood and are typically known for transmitting a wide host of diseases. Once fleas find their way into your home, a female flea will lay 1,000s or more eggs in or around your home, making them an all year-round threat for you, your children, and your pets.
Preparing the property for treatment before we arrive.
Remove all moveable objects from floor areas.
Vacuum all floors, wall floor junctions, sofas and pet bedding.
Dispose of hoover bag to an outside bin when finished hoovering. Vacuuming removes some live Fleas and also organic matter which reduces food source available to the larvae.
All pets must be removed from property. If fish or exotic pets are present, then all tanks must be covered, and air pumps turned off and lifted from the floor.
The property must be vacant for 5 hours before returning and NO!! HOVERING for a week.
All carpets, rugs and soft furnishings will then be treated with a residual insecticide. Treatment will reduce population immediately, however you should be prepared to wait up to 14 days for complete eradication. If fleas return after 14 days, the next treatment is free of charge.
We were struggling with a flea infestation that seemed impossible to get rid of. Bird Pest Control provided an outstanding service from start to finish. They guided us through the preparation steps, which were clear and easy to follow, ensuring the treatment would be as effective as possible.
On the day of treatment, their team was professional and thorough, treating all carpets, rugs, and furnishings with a residual insecticide. They explained that while the population would decrease immediately, complete eradication could take up to 14 days—and they were right. After two weeks, the fleas were completely gone, and we haven’t seen a single one since.
Their guarantee for a free follow-up treatment gave us extra peace of mind, though we didn’t need it. We’re so grateful for their expertise and highly recommend Bird Pest Control to anyone dealing with fleas
